Year of the Rooster - 2017

Heya, new post here. A illustration sketch for the first project of Typography for Illustrators - making a poster for an event. I chose the Chinese New Year, and did something for the future - the year of the Rooster. I emulated the chinese brush paintings the best I could - I got better with it the more I practiced, and each stroke became more gestural (and I slowly stopped having the need to go back and modify, nya. ) It's pretty fun, once you get past the frustrations of it all.
